That's who I am 🎵
Luke 1:31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 And he will reign over Israel[f] forever; his Kingdom will never end!” 34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” 35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.
Mary had to learn who Jesus was. She had to learn that he wasn’t just any average savior but also the Son of God. She had to adjust her view of her son to line up with who Jesus was in Gods eyes. She was told by the angel who Jesus was. She had to try to see her son through Gods eyes not just the worlds eyes. To the world, Jesus was an illegitimate child born to a loose woman. But to God, his son Jesus was going to save the world. To God Jesus was everything He needed to be. Jesus was favored and anointed and that is how Mary was leaning to see him.
When I walk into my 6 year olds room all I see is a boy who likes it when his dresser looks like it threw up all over his room. When I walk into my daughters room all I see is a glitter and paint everywhere and a girl who thinks all the world needs is more sparkle. But I am working on seeing what God see in them. I try to look past the chaos. I ask God to show me His view of my children. “Is the glitter ball really necessary God?” IDK but I do know that she is a Child of God and maybe through a little sparkle and dazzle she can be used by her Heavenly Father. (Hey I know its a stretch but who knows….Actually i guess God knows.)
Lets ask God to show us who our children are to Him. I'm trying learn who my kids are in relation to who they are to God.
