Jesus Loves Mothers
John 19:25-27 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman,[b] here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
Think about this: Jesus is suffocating, bleeding from every gash on his body, hanging by torn flesh, and he takes the time to make sure his mom is emotional connected with a son. He is thinking about the emotional needs of a mom and what she must be going through right at that moment. He is after all, Fully God and Fully Man at the same time so he knew he would raise to life again but still he cared about her emotional state for what would end up being only 3 days of loss for her. 3 Days…..She would lose her son for only three days and yet still in his agonizing dying breathe, he comforted her.
God loves Mothers! There is a special place in God's heart for mothers. He gave Jesus, His only son, to Mary. He sent an angel to basically tell Joseph to get on board with the plan but really we see Mary being the one whom God communicates with concerning Jesus. God knew mothers are so so important in children’s lives and He knows how to care for mothers as they care for all his little children. He loves us! God Loves Moms! Mama, You are loved!
