Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Okay so God’s not some creepy old bald guy trying to hit on you in your local Starbucks with bad pick-up lines. But He is thinking about you! He is thinking about how your future looks. He has already planned a hopeful and peaceful future for you and Him together. Just like we as hormonal teenage girls planned every detail for our wedding to Justin Timberlake, God is thinking about His amazing plan for each and every one of us. I bet it is even better than the ice sculpture of Justin and me from the wedding I planned.
Psalms 139: 13-17 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
God made you wonderfully complex. He didn’t just make you on a whim. He thought about you. Every. Single. Detail. We literally don’t have a number high enough in our language to count how many times God thinks about us…MIND BLOWN. I’m tired just thinking about how many times I run through God's mind. (Get it? "Are you tired gurrrllll? 'Cus you been running through my mind all day!")
Knowing I have a God who thinks about me, made me, knows me, and who has planned an amazing future for me is all I need to know that I am loved. I can keep momming with confidence because I know, I am loved. This mom life is made a bit easier knowing I am running through God's mind.
